South African Women's Day Awards

It's time for our annual South African Women's Day event - the most exciting way to celebrate the amazing work performed by the women in our community.

This time around we're asking our community to nominate five women founders to be celebrated on South African Women's Day 2024. 

On August 7th 2024, Heavy Chef, Workshop17 and Business Partners will cast a lens on what to expect. 

Our 2024 panel is joined by Zinhle Novazi and Verity Price. We will be hosting a stellar array of entrepreneurial superstars on the day.

  • Dress Code: Celebratory.

How does it work?

Heavy Chef aims to honour the extraordinary women entrepreneurs in our community. We are inviting our 50,000 members to nominate their most inspiring women founders in South Africa. We will select five women and record their stories on video, as well as in a ‘recipe’ (short course) to be featured on the Heavy Chef learning platform. On Wednesday 07 August, we will host a VIP audience of 80 invite-only women entrepreneurs at Workshop17 in Cape Town for an inspirational masterclass hosted by Heavy Chef.

    June-July 2024, capture the recipes and edit stories.
