Tuck InAbout This Recipe
Â
Ours is a world obsessed with instant results and a winner-takes-all approach. We worship at the altar of busyness and wear our exhaustion as a badge of honour.
There is a different way, says Simone Berger in this recipe. A behavioural specialist and leadership coach who is well versed in Eastern philosophy and who incorporates a diversity of perspectives in her work, Simone uses this recipe to share the principles - and immense possibilities - of mindfulness, flow and systemic thinking.
With practical examples, tips and tools she unpacks principles and explains terms such as the four-part energy cycle and the middle way, and highlights the power of asking big open questions. Simone also shares some secrets to better managing your time (and no, it doesn’t entail getting up even earlier every morning!).

Who Is Our Heavy Chef?
Â
Simone Berger grew up in the presence of two contrasting women: her mother, an artist and Andean shamanic priest, and her grandmother, a high-achieving business woman and Mensa member. The blend of these two worlds instilled in Simone the ability to infuse corporate leadership roles with heart-centredness, creativity and systemic thinking.
Her first conscious experience with the principles of flow at age 16, led Simone into a deep study of Eastern philosophy, questioning social norms, and comparing perspectives from a wide range of traditions and influences. She combines this with her qualification in leadership coaching to train and coach business leaders in the art of flow, supporting them to integrate it into their culture and mindset.
Her other offerings include uplevelling leader Future Quotient (FQ) skills such as polycrisis agility, mindfulness, creative thinking, mentorship, and Self-Mastery. Simone utilises methodologies based on Neuroscience, quantum physics, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming.Â
In 2018, Simone founded The Flow Experiment, an online programme to support individuals in flow principles.
