Who Is Our Heavy Chef?

Shola Akinlade, Nigerian entrepreneur, co-founded Paystack, a game-changing resource, that aids African businesses in online and offline payments. He graduated in Computer Science from Babcock University in 2006. Akinlade began at Heineken and later became a software engineer in banks. In 2016, he started Paystack with Ezra Olubi. Paystack was acquired by Stripe in 2020. Akinlade founded Sporting Lagos F.C. in 2022 for community development. He acquired a 55% stake in the Danish club, Aarhus Fremad, in 2023 to support Sporting Lagos F.C. as a talent academy. In 2022, he received the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) for his contributions to technology in finance and business.
